Cold-Busting Mega Kiwi and Lime Spinach Smoothie

This smoothie has all of the vitamins and minerals you need to kick your cold to the curb. It is also dairy free, making it suitable for vegans too!

I don't know what the weather is like wherever you are, but it is chilly (feels like 14 degrees) and icing in Kansas, and there has been a lot of sickness going around. Many of my friends and family have caught either a cold or the flu, but so far my house has been spared (fingers crossed) ! I'd like to keep it that way, so I made an energy boosting, Vitamin C packed smoothie for a mid-morning snack.

Here's What You Need:

1 Mega Kiwi

1 cup fresh baby spinach

1/2 banana

1/2 cup orange juice (or fresh squeezed orange or clementine)

juice from 1/2 lime

If you'd rather not use an orange juice, you can always substitute in some almond or regular milk! I personally prefer the fresh squeezed orange juice. This is a super easy and quick snack to make that is also kiddo friendly. Stay healthy out there!

Directions:

1. Peel and cut Mega Kiwi into quarters. (If using oranges or clementines also peel and cut)

2. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth

3. Serve immediately!
