It's hot, ya'll. September apparently didn't get the memo that Summer is practically over. What better way to combat the heat than with a cool treat? These pops are vibrant, healthy, and made with just 4 all natural ingredients. Much healthier than the store bought version!
My son is seriously in love with popsicles. He was so excited to hear I was making some, and he wanted to help with the process. Not only is this a tasty treat for kiddos, it's also a fun activity for them! If you have littles like me, it is a great way for them to work on the motor skills (placing the Mega Kiwi slices into the mold, pouring the strawberry puree etc.).
Ingredients:
Strawberries- 2 pints and cut off the stems.
Lemon juice - 2 Tablespoons of fresh squeezed (is lovely), but refrigerated will do.
Sugar or honey- 2 Tablespoons of honey or sugar.
Mega Kiwi - Peeled and sliced.
Directions:
Throw strawberries, lemon juice, and sweetener into the blender and blend. While they are blending place Mega Kiwi slices into popsicle mold (they should stick to the side easily). Fill the molds with the strawberry puree. Stick popsicle sticks into depth you desire, add the lid and stick in the freezer for 4-5 hours, or until frozen. Run them under warm water briefly for easier release from mold.
Happy eating!
